DR. DASHA GOODY MEMORIAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS


This year it’s bigger than ever!

The Dr. Dasha Goody Memorial Foundation is proud to announce the 2019 scholarships with a minimum of $10,000 in available funding towards a post-secondary degree! The DDGMF is giving aspiring young musical theatre stars ages 17 and up throughout Alberta an opportunity to take the stage.

Since the scholarship’s inception in 2007, the Foundation has awarded over $80,000 in funding to musical theatre students and we are proud to announce 2019’s criteria.


PURPOSE AND CRITERIA

PURPOSE OF THE AWARD: To provide project-specific funding assistance to a vocal performing arts student for the purpose of advancing their Musical Theatre Training.


APPLICATION DEADLINE: 3. Application package must be received by 5:00 p.m. on May 29, 2019

DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDING AVAILABLE UNDER THIS PROGRAM: The total amount available for the 2019 grant distribution is  minimum $10,000.00. 

ACCOUNTABILITY: Any artist who has been awarded a grant will be required to submit a report to the Foundation detailing their studies which the grant supported.





APPLICATION & SUBMISSION INFORMATION
We are proud to provide project-specific funding assistance to Alberta vocal performing arts students. Previous winners have put the funding towards their post-secondary tuition all across Canada, the United States and England.

SCHOLARSHIP  ELIGIBILITY
Educational Scholarship
Eligibility:
l Ages 17 and up
l Resident of Alberta
l   Some form of previous musical theatre training
Funds may be used for:
l   Tuition costs to a post-secondary institution or specific program
l   Costs to train in a place other than the city they reside
l   Cost of materials and equipment for training

Award:    Up to $5,000
Submissions  showcasing your performing skills in DVD or high definition DVD format ONLY.  

Please DO NOT submit video ciips via e-mail, YouTube, Dropbox or other on-line  links.  

Please test your submissions in a standard DVD player.  If the DVD is not in the requested format and the jury cannot view your submission you will be disqualified
