This lively class is a great way for young children to first experience musical theatre. Children will sing, dance and play their way through a range of age-appropriate musical theatre and creative drama activities. A "Show-off" performance is scheduled for the final class.

This class is perfect for any musical theatre enthusiast who would like to learn the basics. This course provides the skills and confidence to start you on the road to being a triple-threat musical theatre performer! The Teen Program is great preparation for entry into Edmonton Musical Theatre's Adult Workshops. We aim to develop vocal abilities, basic dance movement, and acting skills. The Program dives into solo voice and choir aspects, dance classes, character work and stage technique. Our teachers include professional choreographers, drama instructors, and vocal coaches!
There will be an opportunity to perform in a year-end Student Showcase.

The season is divided into two distinct phases. From September to February, students attend classes where they concentrate on all aspects of musical theatre performance. This includes: group choral singing, dance, drama, and individual vocal master classes. A Mini Show is held at the end of the program to showcase what they've learned, and students will be encouraged to audition for the yearly major show, produced by EMT. The major show offers students the opportunity to work with professional production staff and experience first hand the thrills and challenges of performing for a live audience.
